A THIRD ILLUSION BROKEN:
THAT ANTICHRIST WILL BE
A "MAN OF PEACE"

INTRODUCTION

One of the most common misrepresentations of the Antichrist is that He will present himself to the world as a "Man of Peace" - a kind of "New Age Guru." BUT THE SCRIPTURES IN NO INSTANCE INDICATE THAT SUCH IS THE CASE. Take, for example, the many names and titles that are given to this individual in the Scriptures - none of which indicate that he will masquerade as a "Man of Peace." Arthur W. Pink lists the various names the Scriptures give to him: "The Bloody and Deceitful Man" (Ps. 5:6), "The Wicked One" (Ps. 10:2-4), "The Enemy" (Ps 10:18), "The Adversary" (Ps. 74:8-10), "The Head of Many Countries" (Ps.111:6), "The Violent One" (Ps. 140:1), "The King of Babylon" (Isa. 14:2), "The Sun of the Morning" (Isa. 14:12), "The Spoiler" (Isa. 16:4; Jer. 4:26), "The Nail" (Isa. 22:25), "The Profane Wicked Prince" (Ezek. 21:25-27), "The Little Horn" (Dan. 7:8), "The Prince That Shall Come" (Dan. 9:26), "The Vile Person" (Dan. 11:21), "The Willful King" (Dan. 11:36), "The Idol Shepherd" (Zech. 11:16-17), "The Man of Sin" (2 Thess. 2:3), "The Son of Perdition" (2 Thess. 2:3), "The Lawless One" (2 Thess. 2:8), "The Antichrist" (1 John 2:22), "The Angel of the Bottomless Pit" (Rev. 9:11), "The Beast" (Rev. 11:7); in addition, Dwight Pentecost includes the following names to the list: "The One Coming in His Own Name" (John 5:43), "The King of Fierce Countenance" (Dan. 8:23), "The Abomination of Desolation" (Matt. 24:15), and "The Desolator" (Dan 9:27).

Certainly NONE of these names gives any kind of credence to the thought that the Antichrist will be a "Man of Peace" - indeed, many of them imply just the opposite:

• The Violent One
• The Desolator
• The Bloody and Deceitful Man
• The Wicked One
• The Adversary
• The Spoiler
• The Nail
• The Vile Person
• The Son of Perdition
• The Abomination of Desolation

WHERE DOES ONE GET THE IDEA THAT ANTICHRIST
WILL PRESENT HIMSELF AS A MAN OF PEACE?

Where, then, does one get the idea that Antichrist will present himself as a "Man of Peace?" - certainly not in any of his titles and appellations. Some say that they see the Scriptures "acknowledging" this fact in a pithy expression used in Daniel 8:25; specifically, that portion of the verse that reads:

"And by peace he [Antichrist] shall destroy THE MANY ..."

The problem, however, is that this particular expression  - "THE MANY" - is an Old Testament reference to the people of Israel, not to humanity as a whole, and has been recognized as such by the vast majority of evangelical scholars.

Take, for example, the way this expression is used in Daniel 9:27; and the interpretation given to it by Arthur Pink, Dwight Pentecost, Sir Robert Anderson and John Nelson Darby:

"And he shall confirm the covenant with THE MANY for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." (Daniel 9:27)

Plainly, the Scriptures are referencing ISRAEL here; and in particular Israel's participation in a Defense Pact with the Antichrist [i.e., "Babylon the Great" (that is to say, the American New World Order System)] - a defense pact that Isaiah calls "... your [Israel's] COVENANT WITH DEATH" and your "AGREEMENT WITH HELL:"

"Wherefore, hear the word of the Lord, ye ... men that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

"Because ye have said, We have made a COVENANT WITH DEATH, AND WITH HELL (Prophetic Babylon) are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us ... [Please see Chapter XII of THE NEW ANTIPAS PAPERS, "The Beast of Revelation 17."]

"(But) ... your COVENANT WITH DEATH shall be disannulled, and your AGREEMENT WITH HELL shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it." DWIGHT PENTECOST AND
SIR ROBERT ANDERSON

Concerning this Defense Pact, J. Dwight Pentecost writes:

"According to Daniel 9:26-27 ... [Babylon (i.e., the United States)] will make a covenant with Israel for a seven year period. This covenant evidently ... guarantees Israel's integrity [i.e., is a defense pact] ... [and] also is a Satanic imitation of the fulfillment of the Abrahamic covenant which ... [guaranteed] Israel title deed to the land. This action is pictured by John [in the Apocalypse] (Rev. 16:2) as a rider going forth to conquer [as the first horseman in the Apocalypse] ... This condition exists for three and one-half years, after which the covenant is broken by the ... [Antichrist]." [Please see Parts 1 and 2 of Chapter VI of the NEW ANTIPAS PAPERS, "A Commitment to Literalism" and "The Unconditional Covenants that God Made with Israel."]

NOTE: Sir Robert Anderson elaborates on the prophetic circumstances surrounding this treaty and its connection to the Tribulation Period:

"... the Seventieth Week [i.e., the seven year period of the Tribulation Era] will be a definite period of time, of which the beginning, the middle, and the end are definitely marked [by certain well defined events]. [Just as the beginning of the first sixty-nine weeks were signified] ... not by the return of the Jews from Babylon, nor yet by the rebuilding of their Temple, but by the SIGNING OF THE PERSIAN DECREE [TREATY] which restored ... [them], so also the beginning of the Seventieth Week will date not from their restoration to Judea [May 14, 1948], nor yet from the future rebuilding of their shrine, but from the SIGNING OF THE [DEFENSE] TREATY BY THE COMING PRINCE [ANTICHRIST]." [Please see Chapter IX of THE NEW ANTIPAS PAPERS, "The Course and Character of the Last Days."]

WHAT DOES DARBY SAY?

John Nelson Darby, the "father," so to speak, of evangelicalism, also recognizes that the Old Testament term "THE MANY" is a reference to Israel and NOT to humanity in general; and that it is referencing Israel in connection with the Defense Pact that Israel will make with the Antichrist; specifically he says:

"He [the Antichrist] is very subtle, and succeeds in destroying the Jews by lulling them into a security [pact] in which they [the Jews] forget Jehovah. WE SEE HIM [i.e., THE ANTICHRIST] THEN OCCUPYING HIMSELF ABOUT THE JEWS AS A GIVER OF PEACE."

So - once again - as with Anderson and Pentecost, Darby sees the Old Testament idiom "THE MANY" as the Jews; and not only these three, but Arthur Pink as well (see above).

SO WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?

So what do we have here? - Simply this: THE ONLY PEOPLE AND/OR NATION THAT ANTICHRIST WILL PRESENT HIMSELF TO AS A "MAN OF PEACE" ARE THE NATION AND PEOPLE OF ISRAEL, AND NO ONE ELSE! - and that only because of his subtlety in seducing Israel into a Defense Pact with him. That's what the Bible plainly says.

All other peoples and nations of the world will know him as a "Man of War" - the "Violent One," the "Desolator," the "Bloody and Deceitful Man," etc.

STILL THE "PEACENIKS" PERSIST

Still, the "peaceniks" persist, and they attempt to further "prove" their point by drawing our attention to the First Seal of the Apocalypse; specifically to Revelation 6:2:

"And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer." (Revelation 6:2)

That this verse is a clear representation of the Antichrist, there can be no doubt; it is said that the rider wears a crown, and carries a bow, and goes out "conquering, and to conquer." The fact that he is going out to make war on the rest of the world is substantiated by the next verse:

"And power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another" (Revelation 6:3)

NOTE: It should be understood in this connection that all four riders of the Apocalypse are representations of the Antichrist.

However, because there is no reference to "arrows" for the bow the Antichrist is carrying in Revelation 6:2, some make the astonishing jump in thinking that Antichrist is conquering the earth by means of his "peace policies" since a bow is useless without arrows.

What? This is absurd! It's tantamount to saying that a soldier went out to battle carrying his M-16 rifle to "conquer" his enemies; but because no mention is made that the rifle has bullets in it, he is going out merely to talk with them rather than to kill them. It's absolutely ridiculous!

There is no need to mention the fact that the rider is carrying arrows for his bow, just as there is no need to mention the fact that a soldier who is going into battle is carrying ammunition for his rifle. These facts are understood!  NONETHELESS, THIS IS THE KIND OF CONVOLUTED THINKING THAT INFORMS THE "MINDSET" OF THOSE WHO INSIST THAT ANTICHRIST WILL PRESENT HIMSELF TO THE WORLD AS A "MAN OF PEACE."

Finally, there is the matter that the rider wears white clothing, and this our, soulful "peaceniks" say, is a representation of peace. But no, it's not! - at least by the standards of ancient Rome, and one must remember here that Antichrist comes as a "Roman Prince." [Please see Chapter XI of the NEW ANTIPAS PAPERS. "Antichrist."]

The "white raiment" that the Antichrist is wearing is typical of the white togas (robes) that the Roman aristocracy and the Roman emperor wore - and the ruling elites of Rome were anything but "Men of Peace;" they were in fact bloody and cruel men of war.

WHERE DID THE ERRONEOUS THOUGHT THAT
ANTICHRIST WILL BE A "MAN OF PEACE" ORGINIATE

The question, then, might be asked, Where did the erroneous idea that Antichrist would be a "Man of Peace" originate?

Plainly put, it originated in the HORROR and DECEIT that surround the "ILLUMINIST CONSPIRACY" as pushed by NAIFS and DIMWITS such as Alex Jones, Pat Robertson, Tex Marrs, Paul Joseph Watson, Jeff Rense, ad nauseum, and which inevitably CONTAMINATE any serious study of the Prophetic Scriptures. The purpose of this and other similar myths has been the effort by the "moneyed elites" to "target" the Left rather than the Right as the group that is in league with the devil - which, of course, flies in the face of the Bible's statement that -

"... they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

"For THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (1 Timothy 6:9-10)

This effort initially surfaced as the Right's answer to the French Revolution - i.e., that the cause of the Revolution was not the French Aristocracy's oppression and malice towards the people of France, but rather the result of the sinister machinations of the devil. It was here - precisely here - that Antichrist was cunningly and ingeniously transformed from how the Bible depicts him - specifically, as a "Man of War" - into how the elites wanted to present him: As a "Man of Peace;" AND THIS WAS SO, NATURALLY ENOUGH, BECAUSE THE ELITES ARE THEMSELVES IRREVOCABLY TIED TO VIOLENCE AND WAR. As Honore de Balzac has said:

"Behind every great fortune there is a great crime." [Please see our article, "The Watchers Are Watching You."]

Concomitant with the ascension of this idea in the popular mind (i.e., that Antichrist would present himself to the world as a "Man of Peace"), the belief that Antichrist would be a Jew emerged as well,  WHICH GIVES EVIDENCE AS TO THE SOURCE OF MUCH OF THIS THOUGHT: ANTI-SEMITISM!  Naturally enough, this doesn't say much for the presumed "spiritual insight" of those Christians who embrace the idea of Antichrist as a "Man of Peace" (see above) - their protestations to the contrary notwithstanding. GOUGENOT DES MOUSSEAUX

This duel faceted effort to present the Antichrist as both a "Man of Peace" and a Jew emerged for the first time on a popular basis in a book entitled La Juif, le judaisme et la judaisation des peuples chretiens by Gougenot des Mousseaux in 1869. Mousseaux had become convinced that the world was falling into the grip of a mysterious body of Satan worshippers whom he called "Kabbalistic Jews."

NOTE: In reality, the Kabbalah is nothing more than a body of Jewish mystical and theosophical doctrine dating in the main from the late medieval ages. It has been fully expounded in such works as the Zohar. While there can be no doubt that the Kabbalah falls outside the mainstream of Western (and Jewish) religious thinking, there is nothing secret about it.

According to Mousseaux, the cult centered on the worship of Satan or Lucifer; the chief symbols of the cult were the serpent and the phallus. The rituals included exotic orgies of the wildest kind. But this was not all: by murdering Christian children, the Jews - who in reality were supposed to be witches - acquired demonic power. All this was supposed to be a part of the Kabbalah. Of course, it never was! Never! - except in the fevered imaginations and innumerable forgeries produced by devotees of the Illuminati Myth.

In the last chapter of his book, Mousseaux pictured Antichrist as a Jewish king whom all nations would accept as their savior. Mousseaux writes:

"... the Jews will raise up a man with a genius for political imposture, a sinister bewitcher around whom fanatical multitudes will cluster. The Jews will hail this man as the Messiah, but he will be more than that. After destroying the authority of Christianity, HE WILL UNITE MANKIND ON THE BASIS OF UNIVERSAL PEACE AND BROTHERHOOD, and bestow on it a superabundance of material goods. For these great services, the Gentile nations will accept him, exalt him, and worship him as a god - but in reality, for all his apparent benevolence, he will be Satan's instrument for the perdition of mankind." [Gougenot des Mousseaux, Le Juif, le judaisme it la judaisation des peuples chretiens, Paris, 1869.]

PEOPLE LIKE ROBERTSON, MARRS, et.al. ARE POSSESSED
OF A MENTAL PROCESS THAT DETHRONES REASON

Clearly, then, the body of literature out from which the thought that Antichrist will appear to the world as a "Man of Peace" emanates out of anti-Semitic literature - again, the kind that permeates the thought processes of naïfs and spiritual dullards such as Alex Jones, Pat Robertson, Tex Marrs, Paul Joseph Watson, Jeff Rense, ad nauseum.

And what a subtle form of anti-Semitism it is - a strange and bewildering kind that permits people like Pat Robertson to present himself to the world as a "friend of Israel" while all the time allowing him to embrace the anti-Semitism implicit in the ILLUMINIST CONSPIRACY (and as promulgated by his book, The New World Order), the very same type of conspiracy thinking that animated Hitler; the kind of thinking that the famed psychoanalyst Dr. Ernst Simmel of the University of California referred to as -

"... a pathological mental process ... that is irrational and dethrones reason as a regulating power in human interrelationships ..." [We URGE you to see our article describing this "mindset" - "The Superman Theology of the International Christian Embassy's Feast of Tabernacles."]

Obviously, then, this myth - that is, the myth that Antichrist will present himself to the world as a "Man of Peace" - draws water from the same dark cisterns out from which flow the poisonous emanations of the Illuminist Conspiracy; and if that's the case, and it plainly is, then this fable must be disposed of as a lethal pollutant that, as Dr. Simmel has suggested, poisons our reasoning insofar as the Prophetic Scriptures are concerned. 

ITS USEFULNESS AS A WEAPON OF
THE RIGHT AGAINST THE LEFT

But despite its obvious mendacity, this myth serves the Right well as a mechanism that the elites can use as a "battering ram" against the Left; it inevitably leads Christians off on a path that takes one in the exact opposite direction that the Prophetic Scriptures take; a trail that that has been specifically designed to serve the interests of the Right over and against the Left. It serves -

1. Businessmen and antilabor groups because it enlists Christians in the Right's war against the business community's hated adversary, the labor unions [Please see our article, "The Business Right and the Religious Right: An Alliance Made in Hell;"

2. It further galvanizes Christians against the Left because it portrays the Left as a tool of anti-Christian zealots [which it does not have to be, as the tenets of Liberation Theology have made so abundantly clear (please see our article, "Liberation Theology, The Vatican, And The CIA: Ghosts And Phantoms")]; and

3. It serves to blind Christians as to where their loyalty should really be directed - towards the Kingdom of Heaven - by exciting in them a false sense of pride in the American New World Order System. And, needless to say, this is EXACTLY the false trail that most evangelicals are following today - a trail that permits them to unite themselves with the BLOOD-THIRSTY economic and military policies of the Right while opposing the more passive military policies of the Left - and all because, according to their view of the Antichrist, the person the Scriptures portray as "THE VIOLENT ONE" (Ps. 140:1) and "THE BLOODY AND DECEITFUL MAN" (Ps. 5:6) will supposedly pursue "peaceful means" to unite the world under his power; hence, it's more likely that an Obama-like figure would be the Antichrist than a Bush-like figure.

It seems that the incongruity of all this completely escapes their attention

THE WILES OF THE DEVIL

Brothers and sisters, as I indicated to you in my previous article ("A Second Illusion Broken"), the Bible speaks of the "wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11) - and plainly this is one of those wiles (deceptions)! Clearly, the deception that Antichrist will present himself as a "Man of Peace" has been calculated to take Christians off on a path that cannot help but lead them in the EXACT opposite direction that they should be going.

And in this regard, you need to be honest with yourself! - You need to ask yourself if YOU haven't, at least to some degree or another, embraced such thinking - a "mindset" that plainly and very manifestly so many of your Christian friends have "bought into."

It's so easy to fall prey to these deceptions; and it is PRECISELY for this reason that I have warned you time and again that you are making a big mistake in thinking that you can stand alone against these wiles; but that's what many of you are doing right now! I don't fault anyone for leaving the Apostate Church; but if doing so, you have sunk into a state of isolation, then you are in great danger. YOU CANNOT STAND ALONE! - AND IT IS FOR THIS REASON THAT I HAVE WRITTEN MY NEWEST BOOK, WHAT TO DO AS THE END APPROACHES," a book that aims at involving you in the formation of "BASIC CHURCH COMMUNITIES."

These "communities" are designed to protect you from the very "wiles" we have been discussing; they aim at establishing you in "COMMUNITY" -  "community" (1) with each other, and community (2) with God!

It's in this connection that I feel it important to bring to your remembrance what "community" means: It implies not only spiritual community, but PHYSICAL community as well. It means to "be intimate with," and it conveys the sense of "closeness," "affection," "familiarity," "friendship." It is the word from which we derive the word "communal," meaning "BELONGING TO."

It's this "BELONGING TO" that will save us from the wiles of the devil - wiles so seductive that evidently it has had the power to lead astray that very dear and wonderful sister in the Lord I referenced above - and so much so that she is in danger of being caught up in the RACE WARS (tribal wars) that the Evil One is even now perpetrating on the world - ALL IN THE NAME OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, all in the name of Christ; the kind of RACE WARS (tribal wars) spoken of Matthew 24:3-8.

And do not think, even for a moment, that you can resist the seduction of this "Action-Reaction Spiral" that will make a MONSTER out of you - a spiral that is even now taking hold on the church - by merely withdrawing from the organized church and leaving it at that. Again I say, YOU MUST SEEK FELLOWSHIP - and not merely the kind you can get on a computer screen.  It's in the light of this fact that I urge you -
